My Hope is Alive!

President Bush, in his usual Texas bluster and blunder has fashioned a new coffin for his political image. This time he is supporting the sale of our East port management to the small Arabic nation with the initials U.A.E. All of this inspite of the fact that some of the hijackers in the 9-11 plot were from this country. With a sterilizing wave of his hand, he has pronounced our busy, eastern seaports safe from all harm, run by the enterprising Arabic nation. When questioned more closely, he darkens, threatening to veto any legislation to outlaw this perfectly harmless business transaction, that he himself, has found to be no threat to our national security.
Oh, boy! This is the same guy who just KNEW Saddam had WMD.... who had a firm handle on Katrina and the mop-up operation, that proved the state of FEMA and Homeland Security. He has waved a hand of dismissal to high oil prices and global warming and gouges out governmental programs that benefit the disabled, poor and elderly. He is deluded in the power provided him by the Constitution and would rather reinvent the unlimited power he feels is afforded him under the Patriot Act.
Frankly, I am tired of this President and scared of all this sideways logic. I keep hoping that with each incident that passes, we raise the alarm level in a bipartisan wave and make ourselves heard. This man may be in his own personal cat-bird seat encased in a myoptic bubble, but the proverbial handwriting is on the wall. We need to understand that George Bush is beyond serving the country or even the Republican Party. He's just the Lone Ranger riding Silver ass-backwards... and finally, I think it is just a matter of time until he is either bucked off or just falls flat on his face in the dirt.
